Preschool is an active group with learning activities, art, crafts, gym time and play time. Please bring a sack lunch for the kids to eat during their time together, and prepare to go outside in all weather types. If any comfort items are needed to make their time more manageable, please bring those too. We may end the day with a short rest time and movie.
Nursery/Toddler - Jehne Ballantyne
Please bring a sack lunch for this class. We will try to keep them engaged and entertained but our third hour will bring it all down with some quiet time rest time. Please bring any paci, blankie or stuffed animals that will keep them comforted.

Learn the basics of cooking, cutting, preparing a table. A recipe will be given to the class and they will prepare the recipe and EAT! This class is always a hit and our teacher brings a great balance of well-loved recipes along with some cultural creations as well.
ALLERGY WARNING - there will be dishes that include gluten and students with allergies are discouraged from taking food classes.
Bat Study - $25

In this class we are going to explore the dark world of BATS. We will spend several weeks learning about them, doing a lap book, and a few crafts. In the last couple weeks we will build a bat house for you to put into your yard and encourage the bats to reside near your area.
Colonial Paper Crafting (3rd-7th) - $0

Watch Colonial America come to life with make-and-play (and take home) projects! Each week we will learn about one of the original 13 colonies and make a new model, including a 3-D model of Jamestown, a New England seaport diorama, and a look-inside log cabin.
Down on the Farm - $10
Teacher - Andrea Nelson
Down on the Farm teaches about each individual animal and their designated names - male, female and baby. Learning what it takes to properly take care of each animal. What are their physical characteristics that make them unique. What are their nutritional needs and other farm-related concerns. We will be doing some coloring pages, crafts, short stories and maybe even a surprise live animal visitor.

From generation to generation, Aesop’s fables have been read, taught and sung about. At one point or another you would have heard of at least one of Aesop’s Fables. Some of our favorites include “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”, “The Tortoise and the Hare” and “The Lion and the Mouse”. For years, children have the learned the importance of being kind, selfless and giving. These stories come with life long moral and character lessons. Mrs. Saul always has a unique way of presenting a story and a way of embedding them into the kids long term memory with a craft, game, or treat to go along with the story.
Becoming an Herbalist (K-12th) - $0

In this class we will learn how to identify local herbs growing right in our own backyard. How our ancestors have been using these plants in food and medicine, and creating our own herbal journals.

Come join us exploring the whacky works of Dr. Suess. Stories that might be included are "Sneetches", "Horton Hears a Who", "Green Eggs & Ham" and more classics.

Do you already enjoy acting and would love an opportunity to learn more skills? Maybe you have always wanted to be in a play but unsure how to play a part? In this class we are going to explore acting. We will experiment with different types of acting including; traditional from a script, pantomime (acting without words) improv (acting from a general outline). You might even get pulled into a devotional skit. We also might learn a bit of ventriloquism if students are interested. Come have fun, and explore different aspects of acting.

Geography Through Art- Each class will study a different country's culture, landscape, history, and people. Each class will produce a special art project that represents the country, while introducing different art principles and mediums. Examples include: Polish paper cutting, Australian Didgeridoos, Indian Batik, Chinese Scrolls...etc. Can submit art project(s) into 4H Fair.

Children will be using both small and large muscle groups, helping them to develop their gross motor skills. We will be playing different games, practicing balancing, stretching, running, hopping, skipping and jumping. Students will be learning to listen, follow directions, take turns, strengthen muscles and practice good sportsmanship. Please dress for indoor or outdoor gym and wear tennis shoes.

GAGA is a variant of dodgeball that is played in a gaga "pit". The game combines dodging, striking, running, and jumping, with the objective of being the last person standing. Players hit the ball at each other with their hands, and are eliminated if the ball strikes them on or below the knee. The game can be played by a group of individual players or with teams, as well as in one-on-one matches. Rules, ball types, pit surfaces, and pit sizes can vary widely at different venues.
