1st Hour
All About BEES - $20

Bees: Did you know that without bees our planet would die? They are an incredibly important species that is worth learning about, protecting and preserving. In this class, we will take a closer look at bees, their life cycle, their benefits on the planet, benefits on humans, and what would happen without them. Children will also be creating their own bee hotel, to help pollinate your garden, that they will be able to take home and have. A link to the kit that will be used in class.

Basic Cooking (2nd-5th combined) - $40

Learn the basics of cooking, cutting, preparing a table. A recipe will be given to the class and they will prepare the recipe and EAT! This class is always a hit and our teacher brings a great balance of well-loved recipes along with some cultural creations as well.

Colonial Paper Crafting (3rd-7th) - $0

Watch Colonial America come to life with make-and-play (and take home) projects! Each week we will learn about one of the original 13 colonies and make a new model, including a 3-D model of Jamestown, a New England seaport diorama, and a moving Dutch windmill.
Lego (K-6th combined) - $0

Come join Mr. Samuelsen in playing with LEGO's. He has been a life-long LEGO fan. He will challenge you to make a few things and then give you a lot of time to come up with your own creations as well
Chess Club 2.0 (4th-12th) - $0

Beginners and experienced players are both welcome. We will pair you up to teach a friend the game and then we will also play each other based on our abilities. This semester we will be switching up partners and maybe throw in some twists and turns to our games. Be prepared to strategize and learn.
Crafting With Perler Beads (K-4th combined) - $5

Come & create with us as we use so many colors of perler beads! Choose different pieces each week as we chat, snack & create together. Think of the fun we'll have as we use our fine motor skills and surprise our families with our artwork!!
Exploring Drama (5th-12th grades combined) - $0

Do you already enjoy acting and would love an opportunity to learn more skills? Maybe you have always wanted to be in a play but unsure how to play a part? In this class, we are going to explore acting. We will experiment with different types of acting including traditional from a script, pantomime (acting without words), improve (acting from a general outline). You might get pulled into a devotional skit. We also might learn a bit of ventriloquism if students are interested. Come have fun, and explore different aspects of acting.
Gym - $0 (3rd-6th only)
Teacher - Dayna Hollis
Children will be using both small and large muscle groups, helping them to develop their gross motor skills. We will be playing different games, practicing balancing, stretching, running, hopping, skipping and jumping. Students will be learning to listen, follow directions, take turns, strengthen muscles and practice good sportsmanship. Please dress for indoor or outdoor gym and wear tennis shoes.
Think Crafting - $10

Think Crafting - It's time to get creative and use your imagination. With all the supplies you need and a little creativity, let's see what your craft will look like at the end. With not a lot of help from your teacher, we let you be the artist, but we are there to help you design the best unique craft you can.
2ND HOUR
Asian Cooking (6th-12th) - $40

We will be traveling the world to Asia with our taste buds! We will be exploring the many flavors and textures of Asian cuisine, including some of the internet favs this semester - think hot pots, potstickers and more!

Customs of the Bible (6th-12th grades) - $0

We will start out the class with a devotional and then explore the rich traditions and customs in the Bible. Some might include -
What significance did earrings have in the Bible?
What Jesus really meant by the "eye of the needle?"
The difference between modern and biblical wedding celebrations?
Although Christianity is generally considered a Western religion, it is important to recognize that the Bible itself was written and set in the Eastern world, and it must be viewed through the light of that Eastern window. In order to really understand the Bible, one must become knowledgeable of the culture, manners, and customs of the Eastern world.
Come join Mr. Saul and explore some of these customs.

Wax Museum Edition - This semester in exploring drama and this particular age group we are going to work on researching and presenting a historical figure. We will develop our character and present our characters at the end of the semester with our Hometeam Fair. This will require some work at home and parental involvement.
Friendship Bracelets (4th-12th combined) - $5

Learn how to make a new friendship bracelet each class period with minimal supplies! We'll start with simple knots and designs and then advance to more intricate patterns.
Hand Sewing (6th grade and up) - $5

Hand sewing this semester is going to learn English paper piecing. In this class we will do hand sewing, cutting out fabric, fussy cutting and basting. This class will have a limit of 6 students. Students will need previous hand sewing skills.
Insects & Bugs - $5

Insects and Bug: Does your child enjoy nature? Do they like to explore insects and bugs and all of God‘s creation than this is the class for you. We will be taking a closer look at insects and bugs. Learning about different life cycles, what they eat, what jobs and roles they play to benefit our planet. As well the children will be able to learn the whole lifecycle of a butterfly.

Cardboard Box Engineering (2nd-6th) - $15

Put your imagination and all those cardboard boxes from Amazon to good use! In this class, you will design, tinker, and build your own outside-the-box creations using the science of engineering. You will never look at cardboard boxes, cartons, and tubes the same way again!

In this class, we will learn classic card games using a regular ole deck of cards. Some you may be familiar with and some you may learn to take home and share with your family.
Exploring Past Civilizations (K-4th combined) - $15

This is a continuation of last semester but we will be doing all new content. New students are welcome to join. Come explore some of the amazing civilizations of the past. Each week we will investigate a different civilization from long ago. Do you want to learn more about the Mongolian empire, or maybe explore more about Mayan civilization? Come explore with me through maps, crafts, snacks and other activities.
Geography Fair (3rd grade and up) - $5

This will be a class where everyone will pick a country and research the country to prepare a presentation for the Hometeam Fair in May/June. Date is TBD. We will research the flag, population, currency, economy, education and all sorts of other topics that apply to our country. We will learn to write a letter to the embassy to request them to send us materials. Some homework may be required, and bringing in books on your country will be needed. Students need to be able to read and write.
STEM - $40

S.T.E.M Does your child enjoy working with their hands, building things, trying to figure out how things work and what makes them tick. Children will be learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematic skills. Learning minor batteries, solar power, and electronics. Children will be provided kits to create their own mobile projects that they will then be able to bring home and keep.

Stretching is important at any age. Come have fun stretching our muscles get our bodies loose and healthy with our friends.
The Art of Homesteading (3rd-6th) - $10

Homesteading and all about the farm. We will learn about animal husbandry, regenerative farming with animals, maple syrup making, tallow soap and lotion, sewing, wool felting. Lots of hands on activities and a possible field trip to Mrs. Lauren's farm sometime in the semester.
Make a Scarf (4th-12th) - $10
Teacher - Amber Cemer
No experience necessary for this beginning crochet class! We will learn all the basics of crochet and practice on smaller projects with the end goal being a completed scarf. Students will get to choose their yarn color. If any student already knows how to crochet, I'm willing to help instruct them on a more advanced project if time allows and they have basic knowledge.
Viral Recipes (6th-12th) - $40

We have all watched these "viral" recipes go crazy on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. Each week we will try one that is all over social media and make it for our tasting pleasure. Come join us for a tasty culinary adventure.
