A first choice and two back-up options.
We try our best to arrange the first choice but classes fill-up and we will place you in your 2nd choice, the third choice is rarely used unless first choice is full and the second choice has been canceled due to lack of interest.
Most classes are limited to 12 students unless otherwise noted.

Crafting with Pinterest - $45 - (7th-8th grade only)
Teacher - Rachel Bengal
Have you looked at the crafts on pinterest and wondered if you could create them and maybe make some $$$? This class will be building several creations. Learn how to make chalk paint, a shutter shelf, and much more. The teacher says you will be making at least five projects. Sign up quick because this class has a limit of 10 students.
Beginning Paint with Acrylics – (7-8th grade only) - $25
Teacher – Erin Brewster
Acrylic painting is a fabulous medium that dries quickly but is easily manipulated. We will touch on color theory, what is chromatic black, using the correct brushes, acrylic mediums and using pallet knives. Each week we will create a painting on the ideas and skills we have learned.
Don’t be Bored with BOARD Games (7-8th grade only) - $0
Teacher – Anna Campbell
This class will give you time to socialize and play all different kinds of board, card or group games. Join Ms. Anna and come play games with your friends. Text them now and tell them you should all sign up for this class.
Hand Sewing – $10
Teacher – Debra Saul
This class will cover basic sewing techniques. We will be learning how to sew beads, sequins, buttons. We will learn basic sewing stitches including hems. We will make a pin cushion and a stuffed animal as we practice our techniques. This is a life skills class that everyone should take. This class will have a list of supplies needed distributed the first week, the supply list is very basic and you will probably have everything you need at home already. Hope to see you there.
STEM class - $10 - (6th grade only)
Teacher – Aimee Hansen
Science, Technology, Engineering & Math – Keep your kids minds engaged with this class. The kids will be using HANDS on STEM products. Things may include robot kits, building toys with gears and using projects for STEM from Pinterest.
General Science Labs - $20
Teacher – Laura Chapman/Lora Saul
This class will cover the labs in the General Science Apologia Curriculum. Each week we will cover a couple modules of the labs and complete lab reports. Student Book is strongly encouraged. This class will build on skills learned in the fall to present a play together. The goal is to have fun and work together to bring joy to our audience. New students are welcome to join the cast!
Trick Geography – World Geography - $10
Teacher – Holly Cheyne
This class will focus on one continent at a time. A book will not be required to purchase as it will be provided by the teacher. This class teaches using a unique picture word association to make kids remember and able to recall this information quickly. Students must be able to write fluently as there is a workbook to fill in the blanks. 3D Paper Build- $10
Teacher – Debra Saul
This is a paper crafting class that requires intricate cutting and precision. Students will be given a supply list the first week, it mainly consists of an Xactoknife and scissors. They will be constructing projects out completely out of paper and card stock. The picture is an example of a paper creation, not the same as the one you will create. Items they could be building is planes, trains, automobiles, famous buildings.
Woodworking - $25
Teacher – Bob Saul
This class builds a variety of projects using hand tools. Kids learn to measure and assembly pre-cut pieces to create a treasure. In the past in the various classes they have built a step stool, shelves, bench, treasure chest, soma puzzle cube, pallet coasters and more. This class is always very popular and is capped at 12 students. Patience is required in this class as there are only so many tools and only one instructor. Students will be using hand tools and assembling projects to make something they can treasure for a long time to come.
US History - $5 - (6th grade only)

Do you love History? We will be exploring our grand ole USA. Come join us on an adventure touring our great country.
Wilton Cake Decorating Class (5th grade only) - $5
Teacher - Erin Brewster
In this class we will go through the Wilton Course 1 book. Students will be required to bring in a frosted cake to class along with the needed frosting for class. It may be helpful to have a cake carrying tote or some sort of cake box to transport the cake. No cake is needed the first week and a materials list with explanation will be sent home the first week. This class is capped at 10 students.
American Girl - $12 – (6th Grade only)
Teacher – Aimee Hansen
This will be a class where we will be jumping in more with an in-depth study of the American Girls – (books to be determined still). There will be outside reading with literature discussion, history, food, crafts and a possible lapbook (depending on time restriction) to go along with our book.
Institute for Excellence in Writing - $0
Teacher – JoAnne Kroll
We will use IEW techniques to improve writing skills. We will start with writing paragraphs and progress to writing papers. Each student should bring a pencil, a pen, extra paper and a binder or folder to class each week. Students will be expected to submit three assignments by email over the course of the class.
Intro to Cooking - $15 - (6th grade only)
Teacher – Kristina Phelps
Learn the basics of cooking, cutting, preparing a table. A recipe will be given to the class and they will prepare the recipe and EAT! This class is always a hit and our teacher bring a great balance of well-loved recipes along with some ethnic creations as well. Join us for Intro to Cooking.
STUDY HALL - $0
Teacher - Becky Walters
This class is offered for those students who maybe see a first hour class option and a third hour option but not one that they love for 2nd hour. You must bring something to occupy your time for this hour such as: reading, school work, coloring. We also have had children bring a game to play with other attendees during class, such as cards, or UNO. This class will have adult supervision and the students must stay in the room the entire hour. All regular drop-off fees still apply.
THIRD HOUR CHOICES (6th-8th Graders)
A Case for Forensics - (7th-8th only) - $10
Teacher - Laura Chapman
We will introduce students to the fascinating world of forensic science and shows them how to find clues, analyze evidence, and crack the case. Combining hands-on activities with forensic science, kids will have fun learning about the world of forensics, evidence collection, and crime lab analysis. Projects include documenting a crime scene, identifying fingerprints, analyzing blood splatter, shoe print and hair analysis and much more!
Drama – 8th-12th grade - $0
Teacher – JoAnne Kroll
Come learn how to perform in front of a crowd. Mrs. Kroll has been teaching Drama for our group for several years and the plays/skits get better each time she teaches. This class is for those high school kids who would like to dig deeper and are serious about performing. We will work hard and perfect our character. A play will be performed at the end of the semester.

Crossfit for Kids - $80

The Dignified CrossFit kids program is designed for kids. This is an awesome opportunity for kids to discover that fitness and a healthy lifestyle is FUN! Beginning Voice Lessons - $0

A vocal teacher can help you improve your voice/singing through proper breathing, posture, tone production, intonation, diction, phrasing and ear training. Come join this beginning class and learn to improve your singing voice.
Lego Build Class - $5 - (6th only)

This class will be utilizing this book to make some cool moving lego creations. Book purchase is not required. Students are not allowed to take the creation home, but can recreate it at home.
Design and Build Amazing Moving Machines
In a chain reaction, one thing leads to another, which leads to another, which leads to another, which. ..well, you get the idea
With the stuff in this kit and a pile of your own ordinary LEGO bricks, you can build Ten awesome machines that can be combined to make dozens of different chain reactions that use many steps to do. ..a whole lot of nothing (or maybe something vaguely useful).
Your machine could toss a gum wrapper into the trash, amuse your dog, deliver a message ('Oh Yeah!'), ring a bell, and generally make you the envy of the neighborhood.
An Introduction to American Sign Language - $0
Teacher - Amy Sajtos
Topics include: basic vocabulary, grammar, history, fingerspelling, numbers, terminology, and Deaf culture. Special note: one lesson per week (two bi-weekly) a total of 15 lessons. This course will require 45 to 60 at home online contact-hours
Mrs. Sajtos is fluent in ASL. She has taught many classes on this subject and will be a wonderful asset to our middle and high school level courses. She puts her heart and soul into teaching ASL correctly. The following curriculum will be required for this course and she will have homework, testing and quizzes. She may require meeting on off Thursdays or online chats. Please do not print the curriculum below until you are assured that this class has the volume to run.
